स्पोर्ट्स डेस्क, नई दिल्ली। भारतीय क्रिकेटर रिंकू सिंह के पिता खानचंद का लिवर कैंसर की वजह से निधन हो गया। उन्होंने शुक्रवार को ग्रेटर नोएडा के यथार्थ हॉस्पिटल में अंतिम सांस ली। रिंकू के लिए ये सबसे बुरा दौर है और वे पिता की अर्थी को कंधा देने के लिए घर पहुंचे। रिंकू के पिता के निधन पर भारतीय क्रिकेट के तमाम दिग्गजों ने शोक व्यक्त किया। इसमें विराट कोहली से लेकर शिखर धवन और वीरेंद्र सहवाग का नाम शामिल है।
रिंकू सिंह के पिता की तबीयत अधिक बिगड़ गई थी। इसके बाद रिंकू वापस लौटने की खबर सामने आई थी। हालांकि, जिम्बाब्वे के खिलाफ मैच के दौरान वे फील्डिंग करते हुए दिखाई दिए। इस मैच के बाद की सुबह खबर आई कि पिता का निधन हो गया है। वे पिछले कुछ समय बीमार चल रहे थे और चौथे स्टेज के लिवर कैंसर से जूझ रहे थे। उनके निधन के बाद क्रिकेट जगत भी शोक में है।

विराट कोहली ने रिंकू के पिता के निधन पर शोक जताते हुए अपने एक्स अकाउंट पर लिखा, "रिंकू के पिता के निधन की खबर सुनकर मुझे गहरा दुख हुआ। इस कठिन समय में मेरी हार्दिक प्रार्थनाएं और संवेदनाएं आपके और आपके परिवार के साथ हैं। ईश्वर की कृपा से आपको सदा शक्ति मिले। ओम शांति।"
